[SWITCH / PSVITA] Released Uae4All2 Mod V1.83

New year in the company of UAE4ALL2 Mod, the developer rsn8887 updates the amiga emulator for Nintendo Switch / PSVITA with the new  version 1.83. UAE4ALL2 Mod  has achieved excellent performance and stability developed initially by dev  Cpasjuste  and transformed in the form of mod. It supports the Joy-With the virtual keyboard, the HDF files and other unique features included.


To install the vpk file you can follow  this guide
Through the Vitashell FTP and filezilla on PC enter: the rom kickstart in the path 
(remember to rename in kick13.rom, kick31.rom both for amiga 500 and for 1200) Enter your game in ADF format in 
Press START to start a game


  • Download and unzip uae4all2_switch.zip
  • Copy the resulting folder  uae4all2on  /switch/on your SD Card, check that no flag of ” archive ‘is set.
  • Now you should have the executable  /switch/uae4all2/uae4all2.nroand a folder  /switch/uae4all2/data/with keyboard icons and other data files on your SDCard.
  • Download from the internet and copy the BIOS files  kick13.rom(size: 262,144 bytes),  kick20.rom(size: 524,288 bytes) and  kick31.rom(size: 524,288 bytes) in your SD card in/switch/uae4all2/kickstarts/
  • Use your favorite Homebrew Launcher or Homebrew Loader to start Uaeall2


Select = 
Start Menu + Select = toggle the virtual keyboard 
Start + dpad up / down = move the screen up or down 
Start + dpad left / right = change the ScreenMode (to enlarge the games screen) 
Right analog stick = analog mouse (can go left in the menu) 
Left analogue stick = acts like Amiga joystick

When custom controls are turned off:

L / R = The mouse buttons

Exclusive features for Nintendo switches

  • On the Nintendo Switch, there is still no support for shaders. But the Switch resolution is high enough for a perfect whole scaling with factors> 2x in some cases. The filter can be set to “Bilinear” or “None”. When “Bilinear” is selected, the screen is resized to fill the display, keeping the aspect ratio. No black bars appear above and below. The image can be quickly enlarged using “R + Start + left / right” and adjusted vertically using “R + Start + up / down” to center it. When “None” is selected, only a perfect inline resizing is applied. Depending on the chosen Amiga screen mode, the entire scaling will be a 1x, 2x, 3x, or in principle even 4x, depending on whether the Amiga screen fits. This results in black bars at the top and bottom.


  • Bios: Insert the kickstart files in the “ux0: / data / uae4all / kickstarts” directory. The files must be named as kick13.rom, kick20.rom, kick31.rom
  • Speed: most games run at full speed. Some slow games of the Amiga 1200 and WHDLoad work faster if the CPU speed is reduced from 14 MHz to 7 MHz, because they count more on custom chips than the CPU.
  • Configuration file: If you have problems with settings that do not save, etc., Delete or rename the configuration file in the “ux0: / data / uae4all” folder and restart the emu. I have heard that this can solve many problems when replacing an older version of this emulator with a more recent version. Many things are changing in the configuration file between versions.
  • Display: the sharp_bilinear_simple shader, turned on by default, creates a sharp pixel image with minimal blurring. A maximum pre-scale is first applied. Then he uses the built-in bilinear filter, keeping the aspect ratio intact. 
    Many Amiga games fit the PSVita screen very well. I invite everyone to try the chaos engine with a 320 * 200 screen setting and the sharp_bilinear_simple shader. The image almost fills the entire screen and is very pretty without artifacts or blurriness. The image can be moved using R + Start + Dpad to center it on the PSVita screen. Everything works smoothly with zero frameskip.
    The selection of a ‘preset width’ of 320, 352 or 384 (overload to maximum) determines the emulation of the screen, good for most games, while 640, 704 or 768 cause the emulation of hi-res images,
  • Blitter: Blitter settings can help with graphics in some games. For example, Rick Dangerous graphics are fixed by setting Blitter to “immediate” instead of “normal” and restarting the game. Since it works much better, “immediate” is now a default.
  • Sprite Collisions: Some games require sprite-to-sprite collisions. The “more options” menu can be activated. The only game that requires this is SpaceTaxi 3.
  • Multiplayer: up to four controllers on Vita TV are supported and can be completely mapped. The mouse can be turned off because it interferes with the other joystick that controls player 2 in most games. If you combine new controllers and they do not seem to work, scan in the “Custom Controls” menu by pressing L. At the bottom tells how many checks were found.
  • Sound: For use with headphones, a stereo separation setting of 50 sounds exceeds the default setting of 100. The original Amiga had completely disjoined left / right channels. This may seem quite flammable on the headphones. Regarding the sound frequency, on the Life, the default value of 44.1 kHz offers the best results.
