Scene developer Illusion has released their tool which allows to patch PS4/PS5 games for 60 FPS on a hacked PS5. This release is a fork of Astrelsky‘s Libhijacker (to which Illusion has been heavily contributing over the past few weeks), with game patches added on top.

This release supports the following game patches (which are all currently hardcoded in the source code):

How to run 60FPS Patches on your PS5

The requirements to run any kind of hack or unsigned code on the PS5 are pretty stiff: first of all, you need a hackable PS5 (our guide on how to find one here), but you also need the games. Either you have had the (digital versions) games installed on your PS5 beforehand, or you have the discs (which implies your PS5 is a Disc Edition). This might sound obvious, but if you have a low firmware PS5 that hasn’t been activated on PSN, there currently is no way to retrieve your digital games.

Last but not least, running the exploit and associated tools isn’t for the faint of the heart. Accessing the web browser on the PS5 in itself is a chore that requires you to set up (or use) some specific DNS, and from there you’ll need to send this payload by Illusion on command line via a Python script. Nothing in that is impossible, but it requires some technical know-how. Bottom line: you’re either up to speed on how to run the PS5 exploit and associated tools, or you’ll spend quite some time setting things up.

With that being said, to make it short, the steps look like this:

  1. Confirm you have a hackable PS5 Model
  2. Run the PS5 exploit
    • you can do it locally (our guide here)
    • alternatively run it on a tiny device such as the ESP2866 (guide here).
    • Most people just use Al-Azif’s DNS and connect to a public exploit server such as echo_stretch’s ( http://es7in1.site/ )
  3. Ensure you have at least one of the games (either Disc version or digital version) installed and ready to run on your PS5. It has to be the exact same version as supported by the patch system!
  4. Send Illusion’s payload to your console via the included “send_elf.py” code
  5. Run the game. You should see a notification on the console letting you know the patch was successful.

Specific steps on how to run the tool can be found in the Readme. And as always, Modded Warfare has a great video explaining things in details:
